NCC 2025 concludes with 3 Incredible Concerts at the NCH!

Congratulations! - Well Done! -  Comhghairdeas Libh Go Léir!

Over the past three nights at the NCH, over 1,200 children performed to the largest audiences we have ever had at the NCH. Each night was so special - from the duets with Eimear Quinn to the spontaneous standing ovations - it was a fitting end to your work over the past year.

A special thanks and sincere gratitude is owed to those Sunday Night teachers who selflessly volunteered to return their tickets and allow the over 40 parents who travelled to the NCH and queued to get a ticket. I can confirm that every parent got in to see their child perform, and that was due to the sacrifices of teachers who gave up their seats and couldn't sit and enjoy the concert. Sincere thank you.

To the regional committees, assistant musical directors, rehearsal organisers, area organisers, NCH volunteers and everyone within the wider school communities - thank you! It would not happen without you. But especially to you the teachers of the repertoire who signed up last September to share this experience with the children in your school. You are truly amazing!

Finally, my ultimate gratitude goes to the members of the National Committee who were there with me all weekend, from first thing to closing time - and throughout the year - putting together all the plans and preparations for this concert series. The NCC is completely volunteer-led and really is an incredible example of what teachers can achieve when they are passionate about something 

And saving the best until last: to Anne, Mairéad and Órla, our three Musical Directors, who, I hope you will agree, raised the bar even higher for the NCC this year and continue the 40 year legacy started by Seán Creamer.

Two small updates:

1. NCH Recordings: All three NCH concerts were professionally recorded with broadcast quality sound and audio, across multiple cameras. I've seen a sneak peak and they are really special! The recordings of the three concerts at the NCH will be available to purchase for schools, families and children over the coming weeks. Some parents have already enquired so do tell them to keep an eye on the website next week - I'll update you when they go live.

2. Website Photos: Photos from the NCH will be uploaded to the website over the coming days and do tag us in any social media posts from the concerts - @choirNCC
